This Sunday we say goodbye to our beloved Casavant organ in its present form. Next week, technicians from the Canadian organ building firm Casavant Frères will visit Saint Mark’s to remove the existing organ console as well as several ranks of pipes for refurbishment. Casavant will return in mid-June to begin installation of the new console and the new additions to our wonderful instrument. Installation and tonal finishing will continue through the end of July. In the meantime, we will be using a quality electronic organ to continue to support our common worship at Saint Mark’s.
