Confirmation is a mature reaffirmation of the promises made at Baptism. In the Episcopal Church Confirmation is a service conducted by the Bishop.
Confirmation for youth generally happens during the school year where they turn 15. Adult confirmation is how adults join the Episcopal Church.
Reception is a similar rite for adults who have been confirmed in the Roman Catholic, Orthodox or Lutheran Churches who have decided to join the Episcopal Church.
Confirmation Preparation is scheduled in the months before a scheduled Bishop’s visit.
Confirmation preparation includes watching the videos on this page on your own and several in-person preparation sessions.
Currently there is not a Bishop’s visit scheduled.
Check back or contact Pastor Vicki (rector@saintmarkscolumbus.org) if you are interested in confirmation or reception.
