Grow with us at VBS 2017!

Imagining life in the time that Jesus lived, we will explore what it means to walk with the Resurrected Christ and grow closer to Him and to each other.

In 2017, we are adapting a curriculum from GenOn Ministries (All God’s Children: The Church Family Gathers for a Very Blessed Summer) which will grow our faith in an inter-generational setting.

All God’s Children, young and old, are welcome to register and take part in the festivities.

All ages are invited:

  • Preschool (age 3) through preteens (Grade 5) are campers.
  • Teen Counselors provide fun and guidance for the younger children and can receive school community service hours for their efforts!
  • Adults can volunteer* and/or participate in the meal, worship and Bible Study.

Nursery care is available if requested at registration

(*Adult volunteers must register with the church office and are subject to Safe Church requirements)

Here’s what we’ll be doing:

  • Each evening, children and adults will share a meal and will worship together.
  • We will hear Scripture about recognizing, trusting, and depending on Jesus.
  • We will nurture our faith as individuals and as a community through worship, music, study, prayer and service.
  • Children will explore the ideas from Scripture through games, crafts and fellowship.
  • Adults will reflect together on the Scripture lessons in a separate informal gathering.IMG_1519
  • Each evening will close with reflection, prayer and song together.
  • Our experience will be enriched by donations to send with our Saint Mark’s mission group to Guatemala*.

*During the week, we will be collecting donations to send with Saint Mark’s mission group to Guatemala, for more information, visit the web page HERE.
