Music for April 16, 2017

All are welcome for Easter Day at Saint Mark’s, with services at 9 and 11 a.m.

The 9 a.m. service will feature music by the Canterbury Choir and the Saint Mark’s Brass Quartet. Choral music will include Diane Lokensgard’s “Christ Is Risen Today” and James Higbe’s “Now Glad of Heart Be Everyone.”

The 11 a.m. service will feature music by the Saint Mark’s Choir and the Saint Mark’s Brass Quartet. Choral music will include Carson Cooman’s jubilant “Easter Day” and Richard Webster’s “The Dawning,” commissioned for the Saint Mark’s Choir in 2001.

Brass music at both services will include works by Andrea Gabrieli, Gioseffo Guami, and Paul Davis. Tyler Robertson plays organ works by J. S. Bach and Herbert Howells.
